How to Install Custom Neon Signs Using Standard Screw Kit

Installing your neon sign is quick and easy. The standard screw kit which is included in the package is the basic way to install custom neon signs. These are part of our installation accessories that are included in your order so you won’t have a hard time displaying your sign on your wall.

Things to Prepare

● Installation accessories (screws, washers, and drywall anchors)

● Hammer

● Screwdriver

● Drill with a ¼” (6mm) drill bit

● Pencil

Steps to Install Neon Lights With Standard Screw Kit

Step 1

Place your sign on the desired area on your wall. Using a pencil, mark the holes from your sign to determine the screw hole locations. Once done, place your sign back in a safe place for the next step.

Step 2

Now that you are done marking the holes, make sure that your drill is ready with a ¼” (6mm) drill bit and drill the marked areas.

Step 3

Once you have drilled the holes, take the drywall anchors and hammer them carefully.

Step 4

Get your sign and it’s time to screw the nails. Simply align your sign, put the washer on top of the nails, and screw them into the drywall anchors.

Step 5

Finally, it’s time to put the wires together and plug in the sign to your power adapter.

●   Screws

Steps to Install Neon Signs Using Advertising Screw Kit

Step 1

Decide where you want to install your neon sign and put the sign against it. Using a pencil, determine the screw hole locations and mark them on the installation surface. 

Step 2

Remove the sign on the wall and drill holes in marked locations with a 1/4” (6mm) drill bit.

Step 3 

Grab your drywall anchor and tap it in the holes using your hammer.

Step 4

Next, install the barrel on the wall with screws through the barrel into the drywall anchors.

Step 5

Finally, put the sign on and thread the studs to the barrels. Your sign should have a 1” gap from the installation surface. 

Step 6

You now just have to put the wires together and plug them in. Watch your sign light up and wow the people in your office or your store!

Things to Prepare

● Ceiling mounting kit: top mounts (1.5” diameter), screws, 6.6ft (2m) long suspension wires, & cable seal

●  Drill with a 1/4” (6mm) drill bit

●  Screwdriver

●  Sharp plier

●  Hammer

●  Pencil

Steps To Install A Big Hanging Neon Sign

Step 1

Pull the suspension wire through the cable seal and then through the suspension holes on the sign. Do the same to the other end.

Step 2

Once again, pull the wire end through the cable seal and use a sharp plier to seal it. Repeat this step with the other cable wire. Make sure all hanging wires are attached to the sign.

Step 3

Using a pencil, grab the top mounts and determine screw hole locations for the top mounts. Once done, set the top mounts aside.

Step 4

Grab your drill and make sure that you are using a 1/4” (6mm) drill bit. Drill holes in all marked locations.

Step 5

Once you have all the holes ready, tap the drywall anchors in each hole with a hammer. 

Step 6

Get the top mounts and align them on the holes. Then, you can screw nails into the drywall anchors using a screwdriver.

Step 7

Push the pin on the top mount and insert the hanging wire. Release the pin to tighten the wire.

Step 8

You can now fix the wiring on the ceiling or wall. Plugin the power adapter and light up the sign.

How To Install A No-Backing Sign With Plastic Nails

Installing a custom neon sign with no backing is easier with these plastic nails. Using a plastic nail that directly attaches your sign to the wall gives a clean, seamless, and professional look to your space.

What You’ll Need

●  Plastic nails 1.2” (3cm) – included in the box

●  Blueprint paper

●  Tape

●  Pencil

●  Drill with a 1/4” (6mm) drill bit

Steps To Install A Neon Sign Directly To The Wall Using Plastic Nails

Step 1

Prepare the needed materials in an accessible area and screw the nails into the backside of the neon.

Step 2

Position your blueprint on your installation surface and tape it to hold its place. Using your pencil, mark all the screw-hole locations. Once done, carefully remove the blueprint.

Step 3 

Grab your drill and make sure a 1/4” (6mm) is in place then drill holes in the marked areas.

Step 4

Now, you’re ready to put the neon sign in place. Simply, align the nails to the drilled holes.

Step 5

Lastly, fix the wiring based on our guide, plug in the power adapter, and voila! Take time to appreciate your hard work and your neon sign!
